Lokrum Island

#

Get in a glass boat.
A free ride to a new shore.
What a pleasant surprise.

Upon arrival they didn’t expect much, not more than a few flat cliffs to sunbathe on.
Perhaps a stroll around the island, but it was too hot of a day to even start thinking about that yet.

Walking east across the island, wild rabbits were Nature’s first entertainment.
Egzotic vegetation, and good old pine trees everywhere.
The pure, salty-but-sweet smell of the Adriatic.

[Later that evening]

According to a pair of friendly actors of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival,
legend has it that Lokrum has been cursed for almost a thousand years by Benedictine monks who were being sent off the island.
No one who would try to own a piece of its land would succeed.

And so, until this day, the most you can do is rent a piece of its beauty;
for a wedding ceremony, or an easy afternoon at the beach.

Where does your mind go when it wanders?

Egzotična vegetacija i dobra stara borovina posvuda.

Pa tako danas, najviše što možete je posuditi komadić ove ljepote;
